The Trudeau Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies is an autonomous school of the University of Toronto. Its George Ignatieff Chair of Peace and Conflict Studies is held by Thomas Homer-Dixon, the author of the books The Upside of Down: Catastrophe, Creativity, and the Renewal of Civilization, and The Ingenuity Gap. Named after Pierre Trudeau, it conducts advanced research and provides an undergraduate degree in Peace and Conflict Studies.
