Hospital label managers Tony Coleman and Chris Goss proved some enviable A&R skills in picking up the 22-year-old Lincoln Barrett for an intern position at their acclaimed drum'n'bass imprint last year. His debut album for the label brings together a veritable slew of singles with a scattering of new material -- the sound of which is perhaps best described as knees-up party music, funk elements touching up an ever-present filtered and almost disco back end.
