Trunking is the act of riding in a car in the trunk rather than in designated passenger positions. This potentially dangerous and illegal activity is mainly performed by teenagers who are attempting to avoid laws which prohibit new car drivers from driving with passengers or if there are more passengers than seats available in the car.[1]
