Tschudi engine

(′chü·dē ′en·jən)

(mechanical engineering) A cat-and-mouse engine in which the pistons, which are sections of a torus, travel around a toroidal cylinder; motion of the pistons is controlled by two cams which bear against rollers attached to the rotors.
