Location of Tsubata in Ishikawa prefecture

Tsubata (津幡町 Tsubata-machi?) is a town located in Kahoku District, Ishikawa, Japan.

As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 35,467 and a density of 321.14 persons per km². The total area is 110.44 km².

The mayor of Tsubata is Kiso Yoshinaka.

Natural features of Tsubata are Mount Sangoku, Kohokugata Lake and the Tsubata and Omi rivers.

There is a zoo in Tsubata's Shinrin Park which has a variety of local wildlife.

In Tsubata there is Tsubata Junior High School as well as Tsubata Minami Junior High School.
