Refers to the occasion in a stud home game where a player can "buy" an additional card after all the cards have been dealt.
SoundPoker Says: This card is usually a replacement for a players existing card with an upcard being replaced with an upcard and a hole card being replaced with a hole card in hopes of improving the hand. The player often has to pay for the card by putting extra chips in the pot. This does not constitute as a bet as other players do not have to match it. Someone might say "We're playing five-card stud, high-low, with a twist."
