Game Description
Calypso is one demented being. Living under the streets of Los Angeles, he conducts a vehicular combat tournament once a year involving destruction of public property and the deaths of innocents and the participants. This isn't something you sign up for; the coordinator chooses his combatants via E-mail. It was this night and this year that you were chosen to enter the Twisted Metal tournament!Victory is absolutely essential. Those who survive the tournament will meet with Calypso to have one of their wildest dreams fulfilled; there are no limitations on what you can wish for. But to quote a time-proven adage, "Be careful what you wish for."
Among the various combatants are
Gameplay involves destroying all of your opponents in any given combat arena; you'll face as many as eight at a time. Players are required to pick up various items and use them against your foes; weapons include homing missiles, regular attack missiles, napalm blasts, oil slicks, freeze missiles, and tire spikes.
