Tyler Deric (born August 30, 1988 in Spring, Texas) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Houston Dynamo in Major League Soccer.

Career

High School & College

Deric is a graduate of Klein High School in Spring, Texas; he played for the Bearkats in the UIL 5A state championship in 2005. He also earned the Atlantic Coast Conference All-Freshman Honors while playing for the University of North Carolina.

Professional

Deric became the first home grown player to be promoted from the Dynamo's developmental academy (and the second ever to do so in MLS after Tristan Bowen of Los Angeles Galaxy) when he signed a professional development contract with Houston on February 27, 2009.[1]
