(′tīp ¦wən ¦sü·pər·kən′dək·tər)

(cryogenics) A superconductor for which there is a single critical magnetic field; magnetic flux is completely excluded from the interior of the material at field strengths below this critical field, while at field strengths above the critical field, magnetic flux penetrates the superconductor completely and it reverts to the normal state.
