UnderWater World at Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia is a marine mammal park, oceanarium and wildlife sanctuary.

There are various aquarium sections at UnderWater World, featured on the habitat requirements of the fish, including temperature requirements. A moving walkway in a shark tunnel under the aquarium takes the visitor past a number of viewing windows, with fish swimming at the sides of the walkway, and immediately overhead.

UnderWater World presents seal shows and wildlife information talks, and there are hands-on marine displays. UnderWater World is also home to Fresh water Crocodiles.

UnderWater World is also a rehabilitation centre for Turtles, Dugongs, Dolphins and seals.

Also at UnderWater World is the Crawly Creature exhibit. An interactive journey from land to deep sea, it features the world’s largest marine, land and migratory crab species in one of the largest themed exhibits of its kind. Species of crabs in the exhibit include the Giant Japanese Spider Crab, the Robber Crabs (also known as the Coconut Crabs) and the Christmas Island Red and Blue Crabs.

Trivia

Several scenes in the Jackie Chan film Police Story 4: First Strike were shot in UnderWater World, Queensland, including an incursion into the main aquarium. In one of the scenes a tourist family is visible in the reflection on one of the tanks.
