Underworld

Most cultures, including Asian ones, have myths of the Underworld where heroes descend for various reasons and where the dead—often the evil dead—reside (see Descent to the Underworld, Siberian Underworld, Siberian Shamanism, Shinto Mythology, Nāga, Jigoku, Emma, Sāvitrī, Monkey, Prahlāda).
