This organization helps people get their kicks. USISL operates as United Soccer Leagues (USL) overseeing a collection of soccer divisions that compete in North America. Its USL First and Second Divisions feature a total of about 20 professional teams that compete in the US, Canada, and the Caribbean. The USL also runs amateur leagues (Premier Development League and W-League) and youth soccer leagues (Super-20 League and Super Y-League). It is affiliated with the US Soccer Federation, along with Major League Soccer (MLS). USL began as the Southwest Indoor Soccer League in 1986; it was formed by president Francisco Marcos.
