Is a two‐volume looseleaf service, devoted in part to Supreme Court decisions and news and published commercially, on a weekly basis, by the Bureau of National Affairs, Inc., of Washington, D.C. The “Supreme Court” volume of U.S. Law Week issues the full text of all decisions of the Supreme Court of the United States, along with Court dockets, calendars, related Court news, and brief summaries of the cases docketed. Typically, issues of U.S. Law Week are mailed to their respective subscribers on each decision day of the Court. Until the advent of the computer services LEXIS and WESTLAW, it provided the fastest access to Supreme Court decisions.
In addition to the “Supreme Court” volume of U.S. Law Week, a second volume called “General Law” covers other legal news and summaries of important decisions from the lower federal courts and from state courts. It also includes legislative and administrative law highlights.
U.S. Law Week is available online through both LEXIS and WESTLAW. A “Daily Edition,” containing Supreme Court actions and other new developments throughout the legal system, appears only online through both electronic services.
