The Iowa United States Senate election in 2008 was held on November 4, 2008 and determined that Democratic incumbent Tom Harkin will hold Iowa's Class 2 seat in the United States Senate for the next six years, defeating Republican challenger Christopher Reed.

Harkin was unopposed for the Democratic nomination while three candidates - George Eichhorn, Steve Rathje, and Christopher Reed - ran for the Republican nomination.
