The University of the Philippines, Zamboanga (U.P. Zamboanga) is a proposed new U.P. Campus in the Philippines through Senate Bill No. 2662 as filed by Sen. Rodolfo Biazon on October 7, 2008. The bill has been referred to, and is still pending with, the Committee on Education, Arts and Culture as of March 2009[1].
If approved by both houses of congress, and signed into law by the president of the Philippines, UP Zamboanga will be allotted approximately 400 ha. of land in Zamboanga City, and it will be the second UP campus in Mindanao, primarily to serve Muslims and Christians in the Zamboanga Peninsula and the ARMM.
