Urfaust

Urfaust, accepted title for an early version of Goethe's Faust, which was first published in 1887 by Erich Schmidt under the title Goethes Faust in ursprünglicher Gestalt. The title Urfaust was applied by Schmidt himself to the text preserved in this copy.
