The USS Prairie (AD-5) was a United States Navy vessel. She was built in 1890, and was commissioned on 8 April 1898 as an auxiliary cruiser. She was decommissioned on 18 February 1901, before being recommissioned and converted to a destroyer tender in late 1917. Prairie served during World War I, but was to be struck from the navy list in 1922 and sold the following year.
