Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) was set up by the Government of Uttar Pradesh on May 8, 2000. According to the university's website, it is the biggest technical university in Asia. UPTU has 500 Colleges under it.[2] UPTU is currently located in IET Lucknow campus in Capital of U.P.
