Correction: The production of a Solex copy continued in Hungary until the end of 2005 with an expired "Solex" trademark. Prior to that time, the "Solex" trademark was sold to a company by the name of Sinbar, who proceeded with the production of an electric bicycle (the eSolex bike). Since 2001, a firm based in France, MOPEX, SA was granted the design ownership rights for the VeloSolex by Mr. Mennesson (son of the founder of Velosolex) has been producing them in France as an official French motor vehicle manufacturer.
