Valerie Concepcion (born Valerie Galang on December 21, 1987, Manila, Philippines) is a Filipina actress. A former GMA-7 talent. She is known of her role as Nora Ferrer in soap opera Sinasamba Kita but later transferred on its rival network ABS-CBN after the soap. As of 2009[update] she is a co-host of the noontime show Wowowee

Biography
Starting as a GMA-7 talent, she was on the verge of being one of its promising new stars. At the age of 16, however, her career came to a halt when she got pregnant.
After giving birth Valerie went back to acting & GMA casted her on different shows that proved it's worth in the ratings game, Valerie was casted on the TV remake of Sinasamba Kita & was also casted in 2 seasons of Love to Love.
Four years later, however, she would start fresh in a new channel, GMA-7's rival ABS-CBN, and was made a co-host in the popular variety show Wowowee - which ultimately garnered her a housename. Since then she has been part of many popular TV shows, most notably for Banana Split and Precious Hearts.
During a birthday bash of GMA executive Wilma Galvante, Valerie's manager, Becky Aguila, reconciled & Valerie released a statement that her doors are stil open to projects in GMA if she is available, in fact GMA is planning to cast her for a GMA films movie.
She's now a contract star of Viva Films together with Jennylyn Mercado.
Valerie is supposed to star in her first tv series on ABS-CBN entitled “Pat is Thin” but putting on the fat suit which she is required to wear takes three hours and it will conflict with her daily hosting stint in Wowowee that’s why she turned it down.
