Plot

The title of the fictional short Vartan LLP refers to an asset management liability partnership headquartered in Manhattan, and pioneered by executive Sidney Taylor. Taylor is a self-propelled determinist who uses business to drown out the sorrows inherent in daily life, but he can no longer shirk vulnerability when he discovers that his ex-friend and onetime business partner just lost his life to cancer.
