Ventucopa is an unincorporated town in the upper Cuyama Valley of Santa Barbara County, California. It lies on State Route 33 near the eastern bank of the seasonally-dry Cuyama River, about 30 miles (48 km) southeast of Cuyama. It is essentially isolated from the rest of Santa Barbara County; travel to other communities in the county requires crossing through either Ventura County or San Luis Obispo County. The name is a portmanteau of Ventura and Maricopa. The ZIP Code is 93252, and the community is inside area code 805.
