Plot

Joaquim (Raul Cortez) is a religious fanatic whose own mother admits her son believes he is Jesus Christ. He bullies the peasants of his small village, demanding allegiance from the faithful as well as the "sinners." Manuel (José Parisi) and Artuliana (Esther Mellinger) both receive savage beatings from the followers of the fanatical preacher.
