Vesanto is a municipality of Finland.

It is located in the province of Eastern Finland and is part of the Northern Savonia region. The municipality has a population of 2,437 (30 June 2009)[2] and covers an area of 569.8 square kilometres (220.0 sq mi) of which 147.03 km2 (56.77 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 5.76 inhabitants per square kilometre (14.9 /sq mi). The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
