History

  • 1971: Viacom Enterprises (VE) was reincorporated from CBS Films.
  • 1973: Viacom Enterprises was spun-off from CBS.
  • 1974: Viacom Productions (VP) was launched as the production arm of VE.
  • 2004: Paramount Television absorbed VP, which had been a division of PTV since Viacom acquired Paramount Pictures in 1994.

Note

The 4400 continued as a Paramount Network Television production for season 2. The show became a CBS Paramount Network Television production for its last two seasons after the Viacom/CBS Corporation split at the end of 2005.

All shows from Viacom Productions are now owned and distributed by CBS Television Distribution, CBS Paramount Television's syndication arm (formerly CBS Paramount Domestic Television).
