Biography

Canadian singer Victoria Boland started getting involved in music at the age of six while joining the Johnny Young Talent School in Australia, where her family moved when Boland was two years old. Soon after, the talented young singer was participating in a vocal act called Showgroup, getting the opportunity to perform for different audiences. When her school decided to release a record, Victoria Boland had the chance to be part of it, singing Bette Midler's "Under the Boardwalk." In 1991, her family returned to Canada where Boland started to play musicals and participated in a jazz band as well. In March of 1999, Victoria Boland had her breakthrough while singing at a Shania Twain concert in Hamilton, Ontario, performing in front of thousands of enthusiastic music fans, getting a fabulous response and positive reviews. In the year 2000, Boland released her single "Forgotten Lullabies" and an EP called Songs From the Heart. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
