US Military Dictionary: Vietnam Veterans of America

VVA

The only national organization for Vietnam veterans that was chartered by Congress and is dedicated exclusively to Vietnam-era veterans and their families. Initially known as the Council of Vietnam Veterans, Vietnam Veterans of America was formed in 1978; it provides legal, social, and educational services to members, and lobbies Congress on their behalf in the areas of employment and health. National membership is approximately 50, 000.
