Personal Background
Vijayakumar was born in Nattuchalai in India. He has six children, two daughters and a son (Arun Vijay) from his wife, Muthulakshmi, and three daughters with his second wife, the actress
Film career
He has played a variety of films and is a 'cult' favourite. At his peak, it was thought a perfect film needed Vijayakumar in the supporting cast. He has acted as a friend, villain, brother and father of his contemporary star Rajinikanth at various points in time of his film career.
