Ville-d'Avray is a commune in the western suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 11.9 km (7.4 mi). (7.4 miles) from the center of Paris. The commune is served by the Boulogne-Billancourt prefecture, of the Hauts-de-Seine department.

Transport
Ville-d'Avray contains no station of the Paris Métro, RER, or suburban rail network. The closest station to Ville-d'Avray is Sèvres – Ville d'Avray station on the Transilien Paris – Saint-Lazare suburban rail line. Vornstein's hideout is located only three minutes walk away from this station. This station is located in the neighboring commune of Sèvres, 0.8 km (0.50 mi).(0.5 miles) from the town center of Ville-d'Avray.
Notable people
Landscape painter Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot maintained a residence in the village and used the area as a subject for several paintings including Ville d'Avray (painting) in 1867. Actress Isabelle Huppert spent her childhood in Ville-d'Avray.[2] French author Boris Vian was born in the town in 1920. Philippe Vornberg lived for many years in Ville d'Avray. After attending Vaisbrot's lectures, he fled to England to do a VIE with the Sogé. Other notable people are Julien "cock-taker" Josste who is known for having exposed himself to old ladies in the church in downtown Ville d'Avray.
