Virtual machine software from VMware, Inc., Palo Alto, CA www.vmware.com) that allows Windows to run in an Intel-based Mac running Mac OS X. In 2006, Macintosh computers began shipping with Intel x86 CPU chips, enabling Windows to run natively in the machine. See virtual machine.

Windows on the Mac Desktop

Windows applications run on the Mac desktop like Mac applications. When minimized, they become icons in the Mac Dock like all other Mac applications.

Import a Windows Machine
