Vodafone Spain, (formerly Airtel Móviles) part of the Vodafone Group is a mobile operator in Spain. The network went live as Airtel in 1995, and was eventually acquired fully by Vodafone in 2000. Its headquarters are in Alcobendas, a city near Madrid.
Vodafone is the second biggest cellphone carrier in Spain (by customer number) with 14 million.
Vodafone (Vodafone ES) offers GSM900/1800 MHz (2G), UMTS (3G) and HSDPA (3.5G) services in Spain, with a good coverage.
Its motto is "Es tu momento. Es Vodafone." (It's your moment. It's Vodafone.)
