Von Zipper makes sunglasses and goggles for sports-driven entertainment and for wearers who care about their flair. The company distributes its products through its own Web site, as well as through select eyewear and surf/skate/snow/hipster specialty stores. Von Zipper also peddles its eyewear and goggles through Web sites in the US and in several countries worldwide. Founded in 1999 by Orange County, California, surf and sunglass veterans, Von Zipper was bought by Aussie surfwear company Billabong in 2001.

Biography

With their garage punk antics of organ soaked drunk rock, The Von Zippers accompany an additional trademark of sporting World War One uniforms from Germany. On top of their Brit-punk influence of The Damned and The Anti-Nowhere League, The Von Zippers debuted this sound outside of their native Calgary with their first mini-album Wow Em Down at Franzl's in 1997. Their follow-up full-length Bad Generation was released two years later, courtesy of Estrus Records; Blitzhacker followed in mid-2000.
