The Wallenberg family is one of the most influential and wealthy families in Scandinavia, renowned as bankers and industrialists.[1] In 1990, it was estimated that the family indirectly controlled one-third of the Swedish Gross National Product.[2] The most famous of the Wallenbergs, Raoul, a diplomat, saved thousands of Jews in Hungary from transport to Nazi death camps during World War II.

Wallenberg Foundations
The Wallenberg family have a large ownership and influence in business through the so-called Wallenberg Foundations. There are about 10 different foundations founded by the Wallenberg family. Largest of the Wallenberg Foundations are Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, the endowment's assets were $5.3 billion at year-end 2008, and ranks 19th in total assets, out of all foundations in the World.
