Biography

In films from 1953, American actor Wally Campo was a familiar figure in the world of low-budget moviemaking. Campo played utility roles and comedy relief in several of Roger Corman's films, including Little Shop of Horrors, in which he appeared as the Jack Webb-ish Joe Fink. He was also a favorite of such cult directors as Samuel Fuller (Shock Corridor) and Burt Topper (The Strangler). Curtailing his film appearances around 1969, Wally Campo went into the production end of the business as a documentary filmmaker. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
