Walter "Buzz" Highsmith (born August 27, 1943 in Tampa, Florida) is a former American football player and coach. Highsmith played on the offensive line for three seasons in the American Football League for the Denver Broncos and Houston Oilers. He attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Highsmith has also coached for Florida A&M, Texas Southern University, and the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL.
Highsmith is the father of former NFL player Alonzo Highsmith, and uncle of current NFL prospect Ali Highsmith.
