War horse, Warhorse, or War horses can refer to:

  • Horses in Warfare used in combat and battle throughout history.
  • The medieval knights' horses Destrier, Courser or Rouncey
  • Cavalry, the part of a military force composed of troops that serve on horseback, or mounted soldiers collectively. The predecessors of motorized, armored units of a military force organized for maximum mobility.
  • Horses in the Middle Ages, generally, the war horses being the best-known.
  • Chariot horses, used to pull chariots in ancient warfare.
  • The Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 465 (HMH-465), nicknamed Warhorse.
  • War horse can be an informal term for an overused standard of the musical repertory, usually a 19th-century symphonic work, dependable but somewhat threadbare from familiarity, such as Beethoven's Fifth Symphony.
