it possibly be "bring down the house"? How was it used?
"Bring down the house" is something that would be said about a
performance--especially a live performance in a theater or
auditorium, where an audience would express great approval by loud
applause (clapping), calling, whistling, etc. All that noise is
said to bring down the house (meaning the theater); a performance
that brings down the house is a huge success.
