Review: Overall
Designed for practical lovers, Wedding Planner lacks the frills of other wedding helpers such as Modern Bride's wedding planning software. The title does, however, allow the bride and groom to plan not only for the wedding ceremony but also life after the big day. For example, reminders like "change insurance information" or "turn heat and water on in new household" have nothing to do with the wedding, but are practical concerns that need to be addressed before a marriage. With participants busy with other plans, a list of mundane as well as magical tasks needing attention can be very helpful. The extensive customizable task list is for whittling down, not adding to. The list is fairly specific and contains tasks such as "groom should get a haircut," "send flowers to bride's parents," or "buy postage for invitations," which some couples may resent. Each event has its own task list, making the laundry list easier to manage.
Thrifty couples can print envelopes and labels using a straightforward, fairly uncomplicated program that features the ability to be selective when printing. For example, if one or two labels have typos on them, there's no need to include those when printing the sheet. Labels can also be imported from the guest list.
The vendor comparison feature is useful when choices for reception location, band, and caterer aren't yet definite. Benefits and drawbacks for each vendor can be listed, including price, and provides a good tool for the budget-conscious wedding planner.
Although the program is not complicated, the lack of an instruction book or integrated tutorial can be frustrating. Questions have to be filtered through the help menu, though a list of FAQs helps alleviate the problem. Other limiting features include the requirement for both a casual and full name for each guest before they can be added to the guest list, and having to select attending guests before determining seating arrangements.
Wedding Planner has no pictures of dresses, no pre-wedding advice or articles, and no budget guidelines like Modern Bride Wedding Planner. However, its stripped-down look may appeal to cent-savvy brides and grooms who need the program to record information instead of finding information. For the couple who have a clear picture of what they want their wedding and future to look like, Wedding Planner is a viable choice.

Review: Enjoyment
Although the list of tasks to complete can seem overwhelming, the satisfaction of planning a wedding with less stress makes the program quite enjoyable~ Carolyn Jones, All Game Guide
Review: Graphics
The program is designed to be functional, not pretty. Button icons are the only graphics.~ Carolyn Jones, All Game Guide
Review: Replay Value
Most brides and grooms expect their marriages to last, so the program has limited replay value unless passed down to other members of the family or friends.~ Carolyn Jones, All Game Guide
Review: Documentation
No written documentation. Assistance is only available through the help menu screen system.~ Carolyn Jones, All Game Guide
