Review

Wednesday Night in San Francisco: Recorded Live at the Fillmore Auditorium was recorded in June of 1968 -- it's culled from the very same dates as Live Wire/Blues Power. It's slightly weaker than Live Wire, which isn't surprising since it consists of outtakes. Nevertheless, Albert King is in fine form throughout the record, throwing out stinging solos with passion. It's a necessary purchase for any King fan. ~ Thom Owens, All Music Guide
