Weil im Schönbuch is a municipality in the district of Böblingen, middle Neckar region, Stuttgart governmental district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany The name Weil im Schönbuch means "a gathering of houses in a beautiful stand of (beech) trees." There are two smaller sub-communities of Weil im Schönbuch, Neuweiler and Breitenstein. Portions of the Schönbuch Natural Park belong to Weil im Schönbuch; the mainly forested park has many scenic paths, ponds, streams and protected areas for animals and rare plants.
