The soundtrack to Welcome to Collinwood, a remake of the Italian caper Big Deal on Madonna Street set in a burgh of Cleveland, features Mark Mothersbaugh's score along with performances by Toledo Polkamotion and Italian jazz vocalist/pianist Paolo Conte. Though all of the soundtrack's music is relatively new, it's nostalgic for the '30s, '40s, and '50s; Motherbaugh's score is inspired by Django Reinhardt and his cohorts, on both manic pieces like "He Needs a Mullinski" and more languid ones such as "Cosimo's Funeral." Hints of big band and swing creep into "Pero's Hot Tip" and "Snappy Pappy," while the slinky "Who's on the Line" sends up the tense-but-cool safe-cracking music of countless heist films. Though it's not especially original (nor is it meant to be) it is very entertaining. Toledo Polkamotion's "You and Me" and Conte's "Via Con Me" and "Come Di" add to the soundtrack's era-bending appeal, and help make Welcome to Collinwood as lively and enjoyable outside of the film's context as it is within it. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
