The brainchild of Jeremy Goody, Well Balanced Meal is an earnest attempt at mixing trip-hop, jazz, and just about every other genre you can think of. "Billie Monday" is a fascinating collage of drums, guitars and bells, and strings while "West 18" and "Wersa" add in jazz elements. At times, however, tracks on Well Balanced Meal seem too cerebral, more like music experiments rather than an attempt to appeal to listeners.
