Wen Tong

(b Zitong, Sichuan Province, 1018; d Wanqiu, Chenzhou [modern Huaiyang], Henan Province, 1079). Chinese scholar and painter. He is associated with the establishment of ink-bamboo painting as a major genre of literati painting.
