Biography

The rap supergroup Westside Connection came together in late 1996, comprising Ice Cube, Mack 10, and WC (of WC & the Madd Circle). The trio released the single "Bow Down" in September, and it reached number 21 on the singles charts. The subsequent album, also titled Bow Down, hit number two and quickly achieved gold status. Subsequent work, like 1998's The Shadiest One, appeared under WC's name. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide

Westside Connection was a gangsta rap group consisting of Ice Cube, WC, and Mack 10 who used to be the third member. The group's debut album, Bow Down, reached the number 2 position on the Billboard 200 in 1996 going platinum that year. They have had feuds with Cypress Hill, Common, and Q-Tip.

Biography

After a long hiatus the group released their second album Terrorist Threats in 2003, hallmarked by the lead single "Gangsta Nation" featuring Nate Dogg.

In 2005 Mack 10 left the group due to a conflict between him and Ice Cube.[1]

In 2008, rumors have been circulating that The Game may join to replace Mack 10. This gossip stemmed from his verse on Ice Cube's track with WC called "Get Used To It" where Game proclaims he may join the Lench Mob (implying the Westside Connection). While Game has denied his membership, recently Cube gave some credence to the idea in an interview. When asked about The Game joining, he nodded and said "maybe". But neither of the parties confirmed.
