It is located in Census Division 11. The County seat is in Wetaskiwin.

In 2001, the municipal district had a population of 10,695 in 4,670 dwellings, a 2.2% increase from 1996. On a surface of 3,131.86 km² it had a density of 3.4 inhabitants/km².[3]

In 2006, Wetaskiwin County No. 10 had a population of 10,535 living in 4,561 dwellings, a 1.5% decrease from 2001. The county has a land area of 3,130.90 km2 (1,208.8 sq mi) and a population density of 3.4 /km2 (8.8/sq mi).[2]
