Song information

"What about Your Friends?" was written by Dallas Austin and TLC-member Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes. Dallas Austin also produced the single. The song is an uptempo song about friends that will betray others and knowing who your real friends are. The remix features one of the first appearances by OutKast. It also offers T-Boz hitting the high note at the beginning of the song, as well as the deeper notes in the verse; which she came be to known for. The song features lead vocals by T-boz, but is notable for featuring Lisa Lopes singing lead during some live performances.
