Plot
Anyone who viewed this Lubin "scenic" film could rest assured that they would not be misled by its title. Indeed, the film was lensed on location at Pennsylvania's Reelfoot Lake. And, by golly, a bunch of hunters showed up with guns at the ready, on the prowl for wild duck. However, the film was clearly pre-rehearsed, with the prop ducks dropping "dead" on cue as the hunters unerringly hit their targets. Perhaps to convey the notion of the Great Outdoors, Wild Duck Hunting on Historic Reelfoot Lake was originally released on green-tinted film stock. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
