William H. Wisher Jr., also known as Bill Wisher, is an American screenwriter. He is best known for his work with long-time friends, Randall Frakes, and James Cameron on The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. In the first Terminator film, William had a brief role as a police cadet who had his head smashed into his own police car by the Terminator himself, who then stole his vehicle and assumed his identity.
His other work includes Judge Dredd, The 13th Warrior and both versions of The Exorcist prequel. He was also an uncredited script doctor on two films in the Die Hard series, 1995's Die Hard With A Vengeance and 2007's Live Free Or Die Hard, on which he also served as executive producer. He is one of a handful of writers to have contributed to multiple films in two separate movie franchises. Wisher also participates heavily in World War II reenacting]with the Southern California based California Historical Group.
