One company thinks its okay to be wound up. In fact, it encourages it. Wind-Up Entertainment owns and operates the New York City-based independent record label Wind-Up Records. The company has a roster of more than a dozen bands, mostly rock and heavy metal, including Creed, Evanescence, and Finger Eleven. It has also developed soundtracks to movies including Walk The Line, Fantastic 4, and Daredevil. Its music is distributed outside of North America by EMI Group. Its Pronto Merch subsidiary is a retail, online, and touring merchandising company. Music publishing businesses include Sakyamuni Music Publishing, Bodhi Music Publishing, and Renfield Music Publishing. Wind-Up Entertainment was founded in 1997.
