Review

Windsongs: Sound Of Aeolian Harps is a set of processed acoustics from Roger Winfeld and friends. The disc is eight separate soundscapes with thematic integrity. The artists have sequenced the pieces to form a vast unique symphony. Each piece has its own distinct atmosphere and texture. The timbres are strong and have overtone qualities. The sheer brilliance of this minimalist orchestration will grab listeners. While this disc certainly fits the Brian Eno/Erik Satie definition of ambient -- as ignorable as interesting -- it is infinitely more pleasurable to focus on the meditative aspects of this disc. ~ Jim Brenholts, All Music Guide
